Celotex Applications starting from the roof downwards ...

Pitched Roofs

Celotex offers insulation solutions for all of the following pitched roofing applications ...

Pitched roof sarking

When used over the roof structure as insulating sarking, Celotex insulation creates a warm roof structure and eliminates thermal bridging at the rafters.

Use Celotex TB3000 and Celotex GA3000 high performance thermal insulation in pitched roof sarking applications to minimise insulation thickness and give the following benefits:

Highly efficient ‘warm roof’ insulation over rafters
Provides reliable long term energy savings for buildings
Low emissivity foil facers give improved thermal insulation with cavity air spaces.
Eliminates thermal bridging Optional single layer system
Ideal for new build or major refurbishment projects Air-tight construction method

Insulation between and over rafters Celotex between and over rafters

Where headroom and rafter depth is limited, Celotex insulation may be fitted between and over the rafters. Insulation between rafters The void created by a pitched roof can be made habitable by insulating along the plane of the roof pitch with Celotex rigid PIR insulation boards.

Walls

Celotex offers wall insulation solutions for all wall applications, as listed below.

Masonry cavity wall insulation Masonry cavity wall application with Celotex

A cavity provides an effective barrier to rain penetration and also adds to the thermal resistance of the wall.

Use Celotex CW3000 high performance thermal insulation in partial fill cavity wall applications to minimise insulation thickness and give the following benefits:

Easy to fit between wall ties using cavity tie clips for retention
Provides reliable long term energy savings for buildings
Low emissivity foil facers give improved thermal insulation with cavity air spaces

Celotex Internal solid masonry wall applicationsInternal and external solid masonry wall insulation

Many older properties are constructed with solid masonry walls which provide poor levels of thermal insulation.

Solid masonry walls (Internal)

Use Celotex TB3000 and Celotex GA3000 high performance thermal insulation in internal solid masonry wall applications to minimise insulation thickness and give the following benefits:

Reduces heat bridges formed by mortar joints
Ideal where no wall cavity exists
Provides reliable long term energy savings for buildings Low emissivity foil facers give improved thermal insulation with cavity air spaces

Timber frame wall lining

Celotex offers two solutions for single timber frame wall lining applications.

Timber frame wall sheathing Celotex timber frame wall sheathing applications

It is now widely recognised that, in highly insulated framed structures, the thermal bridging effect of the timber frame itself becomes significant.

The first utilises the low lambda values of Celotex GA3000 and Celotex XR3000 between the studs, followed by an internal lining of Celotex TB3000 over the studs. This solution provides for the thinnest build-up with the better thermal insulation.

Use Celotex TB3000 and Celotex GA3000 high performance thermal insulation in timber frame wall applications to minimise insulation thickness and give the following benefits:

Offers the thinnest solution available
Provides reliable long term energy savings for buildings
Low emissivity foil facers give improved thermal insulation with cavity air spaces
Reduces thermal bridges through studs and rails, when used in a two-layer system
Provides cavity for services

The second option is to use mineral wool batts fitted between the studs, followed by an internal lining of Celotex TB3000 over the studs.

This solution gives a thicker build-up but offers improved acoustic insulation.

Steel stud framed wall insulation Celotex steel stud framed wall applications

Historically, the use of steel framed walls has been found mostly in the construction of commercial buildings.

Use Celotex TB3000 or Celotex GA3000 high performance thermal insulation in steel stud framed wall applications to minimise insulation thickness and give the following benefits:

Ideal for lightweight, steel framed commercial and industrial buildings
Provides reliable long term energy savings for buildings
Low emissivity foil facer gives improved thermal insulation with cavity air spaces
Rapid , accurate construction on site
Facilitates off-site fabrication of framed panels
Warm frame construction eliminates thermal bridging through studs
Thin overall construction depth

Floors

Celotex offers floor insulation solutions for all flooring applications, as listed below:

Concrete floor over slab insulation

Celotex insulation can be laid over a standard floor slab and covered with a screed or tongue and groove floorboards.
