Delivery Lead Times

Internet Orders

Product deliveries can arrive on the working day following receipt of orders if received before 10am. Internet orders received after 10am (particularly in the Greater London area) may require two days delivery lead time, so please try to order in good time if next day delivery is required.
Please bear in mind that Internet communications are not necessarily instantaneous, and your communication may take some time to be received by us.

Telephone Orders

Being an Online Shop, we give priority to orders placed via our secure web site. Consequently, delivery of orders placed over the telephone will generally require two working days lead time.

Small Orders

We reserve the right to opt out of small orders that have minimal quantities from different
distribution points.

Receipt of Deliveries and other Delivery Information

Deliveries are generally made between 8am and 2pm if delivered on our own transport. Orders for smaller/lighter items may be made by Courier and can arrive between 8am and 6pm.
Due to the logistics of large vehicle deliveries it is not possible for us to advise estimated times of arrivals. Equally, with Couriers their delivery schedules are outside of our influence.
Deliveries dates are confirmed by email, and reflect our best estimate. However, we cannot guarantee delivery dates due to the numerous elements that are outside of our control
Orders can be delivered in lorries of up to 28 tons, so it may be important that your
property is accessible to such vehicles.
A delivery note needs to be signed upon receipt of goods. Arrangements can be made
for unattended deliveries at the customers own risk.

Delivery locations

We deliver throughout England and Wales; Scotland; Northern Ireland; Channel Islands;
and Southern Ireland. Depending upon locations, availability of some items may need
to be confirmed, as may delivery times.
Clearly, deliveries to remote locations may take longer than those in the proximity of large conurbations. Deliveries to off-shore locations will be dependent upon ferry crossing times. Deliveries within Southern Ireland generally take three working days.

Minimum Order Levels

Due to the nature of these products there is a minimum order level of £175.00 before VAT.

Payment

Credit card and Debit Card orders are processed immediately. Payments by BACs or
by Cheque may require bank clearance prior to goods being shipped.

Ordering via the Internet versus Telephone Orders

Orders received via our online shop are given priority over telephone orders. Telephone orders require you to provide sensitive card information to a third party. Telephone orders may incur additional handling charges.

Charge Card Security

To ensure your order is expedited as quickly as possible, we need a Landline Telephone Number that is registered at your Charge Card billing address. Please provide this at Check-out, so that we may contact you if necessary.
Should your billing address and delivery address differ, we are obliged for reasons of Card Holder Security to contact you on the Land-Line telephone number registered at your Card Billing Address.
If you do not provided a Landline Telephone Number and accurate and complete information, your order may be delayed.

Delivery Charges and Procedures (EC Member States)

Delivery to the Southern Ireland will be charged at £65.00 per pallet and £115.00 per double pallet. Delivery Charges to Ireland, the Hebrides, Channel Islands, et cetera will incur shipping costs of approximately £130.00 per pallet. A minimum order level of £500.00 applies to such orders.
Deliveries to EC Member States are generally costed on the assumption that the the Buyer pays the transportation charge from a delivery point they nominate within the United Kingdom.
We work with a number freight handling agents and can offer Buyers information relevant to deliveries to their countries.
Arrangements can be made for VAT to be paid in the country to which the goods are being exported. Conditions apply.

Substitution of products

Occasionally, due to external forces or extraordinary demand certain items may not
be readily available. In such cases, we shall endeavour to offer the same, or similar
products at the prices stated above. We will advise customers in advance of such
situations, with the exception of the following ...

Celotex versus Kingspan / Ecotherm and visa-versa

Kingspan is TP10, similar in performance to Celotex Tuff-R. When Celotex is not available, we reserve the right to provide Kingspan or Ecotherm in favour of Celotex, at the same price.
Presently, we do not supply Celotex Tuff-R and Extra-R in Scotland, and will substitute Kingspan ThermaPitch TP10.

Rockwool versus Rocksilk and visa-versa

We recommend Rocksilk, which we buy cheaper (and charge less for) than Rockwool. However, availability of Rocksilk does fluctuate, so we may not always be able to supply.
The Rockwool and Rocksilk slabs indicated above are, to all intents and purposes, identical in thermal / acoustic performance, although packaging quantities may vary.
Please check out Rocksilk on this web site > Click here
Please check out Rockwool on this web site > Click here

Gyproc versus Knauf and visa-versa

Knauf wall boards and high performance plasterboards for Gyproc products.
Gyproc and Knauf boards are again, to all intents and purposes, identical in size
and performance. We recommend Knauf, which is less expensive, but when Knauf
boards are not available, we reserve the right to provide the more expensive Gyproc
in favour of Knauf... with no increase in price to the customer.
In the case that we substitute a product of lesser price, we always refund the
difference in charges to our customers
.
